It’s hot outside and one of the sweetest ways to stay cool is treating yourself to your favorite ice cream cone. And one of my favorite spots to get creamy smooth homemade ice cream is Strachan’s Ice Cream Shop. Serving up double and triple scoops of slow churned frozen cream since 1999, Strachan’s Ice Cream and desserts is a local favorite. Three locations to choose from; Palm Harbor, Downtown Dunedin and off SR 580 in Countryside.

It’s 4 O’clock and I’m enjoying my double scoop, chocolate dipped waffle bowl while sitting under the oak tree and watching all the downtown shoppers and pedestrians walking about. It’s hot and humid after the thunderstorm has passed over. The heat of the sun dries up the wet pavement adding to the humidity . The sky is blue and the clouds are fluffy and white. Perfect weather for a frozen treat.
