During our Summer season we slow down around here. Our coastal cities consider Summer as the off season. It’s when us locals get to enjoy less congestion in traffic and the wait lists in our local restaurants aren’t filled with tourist or snowbirds. We go out for walks and take in the fresh air or go jogging or riding our bicycles. This summer most residents are choosing to stay local instead of taking a long and far and away vacation trip that these days are extraordinarily expensive. As we all are familiar with the ongoing gas price increases, inflation, a lingering pandemic and supply chain issues, the “Staycation” mentality has grown popular for most of us locals.
